Offered in our safe, affirming studio in NE Calgary, Rapid-NFR is results-driven, empowering, and designed with your healing in mind.

What Is Rapid-NFR?

Rapid NeuroFascial Reset is a neurologically based manual therapy that uses precise palpation and movement to target fascial restrictions and chronic tension patterns. Unlike traditional massage, it works quickly and effectively—often delivering significant relief within just a few sessions.

"Apparently, I’m a ‘statistic’ with my total knee replacement. I fall in to the 20% category that has issues with scar tissue and limited flexion. It’s been 13 months post-surgery and have been seeing Kristin Rabin for the last 2 months. She is very knowledgeable and personable! My flexion is improving as is the tightness around the knee due to scar tissue. I’ve had more success with Kristin, than I’ve had with all the knee physio I’ve done! She’s AMAZING!"

This isn’t a ‘relaxation’ session—it’s a powerful, results-based treatment that helps you get back to living pain-free.

Rapid Science

Let's nerd out!

The method Kristin utilizes for achieving lasting results:

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset AKA Rapid-NFR.

As a Registered Massage Therapist, Kristin opts for RAPID massage technique in her practice due to its remarkable outcomes for clients, even those with unresolved conditions and despite trying other therapies.

In various other bodywork practices, therapists, and clients alike, often refer to "knots" or "adhesions." Adhesions are essentially hyper-stimulated nociceptors causing prolonged excitability in the central nociceptive pathways, leading to tissue changes due to neurogenic inflammation.

For clients, these adhesions may manifest as scars or areas of tense, restricted tissue, contributing to dysfunction or pain such as muscle weakness, fatigue, and nerve entrapment.

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset involves Kristin applying precise manual pressure while directing client movements to stimulate mechanoreceptors in various body structures.

This stimulation prompts the release of Substance P from mechanoreceptors, aiding in the elimination of sensitizing immune cells and activating the endocannabinoid system.

Substance P can also aid in healing older injuries that haven't fully recovered, by eliminating immune cells contributing to peripheral nociceptive sensitization.

While RAPID massage techniques treatment may cause discomfort as it triggers nociception for Substance P release, therapists are trained to adjust to the client's tolerance levels.

Furthermore, RAPID's movement-based approach is effective for chronic injuries, as movement accompanied by tolerable pain boosts self-efficacy, reducing the client's fear of movement-induced discomfort.

Although not a universal remedy, RAPID offers relief and enhances mobility for clients with diverse conditions, surpassing expectations and providing respite for longstanding pain issues.
